RyeStrategy Expands Professional Services & Flight Neutrality Offerings
We’re incredibly excited to announce two recent product expansions: a comprehensive carbon neutrality offering tailored to professional services organizations and a flight neutrality package which allows for any organization to fully offset its annual flight emissions. With our new comprehensive offering, the "Software Industry Carbon Neutrality Pledge” has been updated to the “Software & Professional Services Carbon Neutrality Pledge” -- a significant step towards better addressing climate change at the corporate level. The specifics of each of these updates are explored below.
Professional Services - Carbon Neutrality Service Offering
Traditionally, our end-to-end carbon neutrality services have been available exclusively for software organizations. With our methods further verified in recent months, we have expanded this offering to include all intangible professional services organizations, greatly enhancing our reach for corporate impact.
In order to fully address an organization’s footprint, this offering includes a carbon footprint calculation built around the Greenhouse Gas Protocol; a custom set of mitigation strategies to lower emissions in future years; an offset portfolio of investments in carbon reducing projects which ensures neutrality; and advice on leveraging tax benefits, marketing, and environmental certifications. Flight Neutrality Service Offering
Ideated during the summer, our flight neutrality offering is the result of a successful collaboration between RyeStrategy and the offset provider Cool Effect, who offers internationally certified investment opportunities at a minimal cost. While this year has certainly been a unique one, with many of our usual activities reduced or cut off entirely, those who need to fly continue to do so. For the organization which is looking to improve its environmental footprint, but is unsure of full scale carbon neutrality, our Flight Neutrality Service Offering is the perfect option.
Built to address the flight neutrality needs of any organization, the offering includes the calculation of annual flight footprints, a Cool Effect offset portfolio, a 12-page sustainable travel package for employees, and a 9-page organizational strategy package for company executives. The Software & Professional Services Carbon Neutrality Pledge
In line with these service additions, our carbon neutrality pledge went through several key changes. After pivoting from the “Software Industry Carbon Neutrality Pledge” to the “Software & Professional Services Carbon Neutrality Pledge”, the neutrality deadline for signatories was extended from December 31st, 2021 to December 31st, 2022, in order to better accommodate organizations who are committed to making a difference but need the additional time.
With these changes, the Pledge is now accessible and feasible for tens of thousands of organizations -- the new year is right around the corner and we invite all who are interested to make a resolution that counts: pledge neutrality today.
